Terms & Conditions
By making a booking you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
A deposit of £100 is payable if the booking is made more than 6 weeks before the holiday start date. The balance is due 6 weeks before the holiday start date. For bookings made less than 6 weeks before the holiday start date the total rental fee is payable.
Payments can be made via bank transfer or cheque.
A refundable security deposit of £100 is payable along with the balance when due. It will be refunded minus any deductions for breakages or additional cleaning costs within a week of your departure.
Guests should notify us of any cancellations immediately by phone or email. We will do our very best to re-let the accommodation and if we are able to we will reimburse the guests (minus deposit). If we are not able to re-let the guest remains liable for the whole amount. We do advise that you take out a separate holiday cancellation insurance.
Arrival and departure:
Except where short breaks have been agreed, The Shippen operates a Friday changeover day (Saturday from 2016) commencing at 4:30pm, The Old Dairy operates a Saturday changeover day (Friday from 2016) commencing at 3pm. Guests are requested to vacate the accommodation by 10am on the day of departure.
Both The Old Dairy and The Shippen are no smoking properties.
Linen, towels etc:
All linen, towels (except beach towels), heating, electricity, water, fuel and complimentary wi-fi are included in the the rental fee.
Number of persons:
The number of persons occupying a property must not exceed the maximum number stipulated in the property details or as agreed at the time of booking.
We accept chicken and cow friendly dogs in our properties (maximum of 2) for which there is a small additional charge (£20 The Old Dairy, £30 The Shippen). In general we find that pet owners are extremely responsible but we do expect our carpets and furnishings to be protected and that all traces of your dogs are removed immediately.
Please ensure that your dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture and that you have provided them with a bed.
Dogs must not be left alone in the properties without our consent and must be free from fleas and parasites.
We try to ensure our properties are prepared to a high standard so our guests can enjoy their holiday from the moment they arrive. If a problem or cause for complaint does arise please let us know immediately.
It may be necessary for us to gain access to the property during your holiday for essential repairs or maintenance - we will liase with you to minimise any disruption to your holiday.
To notify us of any losses or damage to the property and to pay for it.
To take good care of the property and leave it in a clean and tidy condition when you leave.
We reserve the right to charge for breakages and deduct these and any additional cleaning costs from your security deposit.
